The Story Behind Little Wardrobe

Little Wardrobe Company was born from the dream of two mothers from Ostrobothnia in Finland: to create children’s clothing that feels just as good as it looks. At the beginning of 2025, that dream began to take shape with the founding of Little Wardrobe Company. In December of the same year, the team grew with the addition of another mother from Ostrobothnia. Today, this team of three leads Little Wardrobe Company on its journey toward locally made and more sustainable clothing production.

Our vision is simple. We want to create timeless, comfortable, and sustainable garments for children. We aim to produce locally made clothing, sewn from carefully selected fabrics that are free from harmful substances and safe for both children and the environment. We want to offer a collection where every piece can be mixed and matched. Clothes that last in both style and quality, and that keep up with children’s active everyday lives.

After a long journey and careful searching, we have finally found the right partners and high-quality materials. Now we feel we’ve discovered our own style, and we are finally able to share it with you.

We hope you’ll love our garments as much as we do.

Little Wardrobe Company – Small Clothes with Big Values

At Little Wardrobe Company, we create children’s clothing designed to last in quality, fit and style. Our garments are designed and made in Finland with care and professional craftsmanship, in earthy tones and timeless silhouettes.

We do not follow fast trends. Instead, we create clothing that feels both modern and classic, season after season. We want to make pieces that children love to wear again and again. Clothes that can be happily passed on to the next little adventurer.

Our Values

Responsibility, quality and transparency are at the core of everything we do.

Our production is built on carefully selected materials and close collaboration with partners who share our values. We support local craftsmanship whenever possible, from design and sewing to the final packaged product.

Children’s clothing should be safe, durable, and comfortable. All our products meet strict quality standards and are made from materials that retain their shape and color, wash after wash. Our garments are thoughtfully designed to suit everyday life, play, and every adventure in between.

Materials & Manufacturing in Finland

Our garments are made from organic cotton. The cotton is grown and spun in Turkey into GOTS-certified yarn. The yarn is knitted into high-quality rib fabric by Orneule Oy in Orivesi, Finland. Their expertise and uncompromising commitment to quality are reflected in every knit we use.

Orneule is a Finnish family-owned company with decades of experience in knit production. The fabric made for us is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and produced in accordance with high environmental and quality standards (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). This means the fabric has been tested and contains no harmful substances, making it safe for children and for the environment.

The fabric is dyed in Poland using environmentally friendly and safe methods. The dyeing process is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.

All pattern making, cutting, and sewing take place in Finland in small production batches. Local manufacturing is an important value to us. It supports Finnish craftsmanship, shortens the supply chain, and enables a responsible and transparent production.

Certificates & Standards

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) ensures that the production chain meets strict environmental and social responsibility criteria. It monitors areas such as water management, chemical use, and workers’ rights throughout the entire process — from the cotton field to the finished product.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification guarantees that our products are free from harmful substances. All materials are regularly tested in independent laboratories, ensuring that our garments are safe for a child’s skin.
