What is GOTS and OEKO-TEX?

Children’s skin is delicate and deserves the very best. That’s why our children’s clothing is made from GOTS-certified yarn and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabric, ensuring both sustainability and safety.

GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. It is an international standard for organic textiles that covers the entire production chain, from raw material to finished product. GOTS ensures that every stage of the production process meets strict criteria.

Some of the key requirements of the GOTS standard include, for example:

• Organic fibers: The fibers used in GOTS-certified yarn are organically grown (e.g., cotton or wool).
• Environmental requirements: Strict regulations on the use of chemicals, dyes, and wastewater treatment.
• Social responsibility: Working conditions must meet fundamental social criteria, such as the prohibition of child labor, fair wages, and safe working environments.
• Traceability and certification: The entire production chain, from fiber to finished yarn, is inspected by independent certification bodies.

All our garments are made from organic cotton. The yarn used in our clothing is GOTS-certified. This means it is made from organic fibers and produced in accordance with the strict environmental and social requirements of the GOTS standard.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an international certification that ensures textiles have been tested for harmful substances. The certification applies to the finished fabric and guarantees that all components of the fabric (including fibers, dyes, and chemicals) have been carefully tested during the production process.

Fabrics certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 meet strict limit values for substances that may be harmful to human health. The required levels are particularly stringent for products that come into direct contact with the skin.

The fabric produced for us is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning it is safe to use and free from harmful levels of chemicals.
